Javadestination is a tour agency based in Borobudur, Central Java, offering a variety of unforgettable tour packages across Java Island. Whether a couple looking for a romantic getaway, a nature lover eager to explore Java’s stunning landscapes, or an adventurer seeking a thrilling journey. Javadestination also provide transportation services, so the customer can rent the perfect vehicle to make the trip even more enjoyable.

Design and develop a new website that will be used by client to establish and enhance the Javadestination's brand awareness.

Design and develop a responsive website that will provide an engaging and user-friendly experience to ensure the website will attracting potential customers.

Create a website that will contain every Javadestination's information, such as profile, services, and tour packages.

USER AUDIENCE

The target audience for this project are :

Foreign Tourist

Individuals or groups from outside Indonesia who are planning a vacation in Indonesia, with a special interest in exploring Java Island.

Local Tourist

Individuals or groups lived in Indonesia who are looking to explore and enjoy a vacation around Java Island.

For this project, I was responsible from creating the design until the developing process. My responsibilities on this project, which are :

UI/UX Designer

Gather every information from client about the requirements, needs, and information about the Javadestination.
Create the High-Fidelity design.
Restructure the website flow, layout, content structure, and information architecture for every section.
Create the UX copy for every tour package (tour highlights and tour description).
Create and responsible every visual assets that will be used on the website.

Develop the website based on the design has been created and approved by the client.
Ensure the website is responsive for every device size.
Manage all the plugin and visual assets on the WordPress.
Create animation to make the website more interactive.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

SCOPE AND CONSTRAINT

This project goal is to redesign the Javadestination's website, which changes in design style, page structure, layout, website flow, and content structure. The client want to use the website as the main portal to show the information about their tour packages and services they were provided and allow the potential customer to reach out or booking the tour packages via Whatsapp or email. The client was requested to add an advance search feature as well to easier the potential customer to search the tour packages based on their preference.

The client give the deadline for this project is one month because the client need to recreate and update the tour packages that they want to show on this website.

Wireframe

Based on the client's request, they want me directly create the High-Fidelity design instead start from creating the wireframe. So, for this project, I skipped this process and directly working on the High-Fidelity design.

Challenges

The main challenge for me on this project is the content on the old website is inconsistent, which some tour packages have a different content structure and it makes the website looks not professional. Because of that, I need to recreate the content structure that was ideal and good to implement into the throughout tour packages.
The another challenge for me is the client don't have any style preference that they want to use on their website so I should decide which style is good for this website and the Javadestination's brand.

The Result

After I collected all information I need for the website, especially information that helped me to determined which style I need to implement for this website, I start create the High-Fidelity design. I choose the modern and simple style to be apply on this website. After I show the design to client, the client was approved the design. After that, I directly develop the website using WordPress and Elementor as my main tools. This project has been completed within three weeks included every revisions after the final website has been launched.
